I was so excited when the bride contacted me about purchasing an Adventure Book to use in their engagement shoot. I went out on a limb and asked her if they would be willing to share teh photos with. This lovely couple was kind enough to oblige.

I think the happy couple looks amazing. I just love these photos!! It’s so cute how they even found a yellow house to take the pictures in front of.

Photos were taken by Betwixt in San Diego (http://www.betwixtstudio.com/#/special/splash/)

A and Z, how fun is that?

Playing around with their initials is something Ive been dying to do, so when a friend of mine asked me to put together a scrapbook for her and her boyfriend, I was so excited. This year, the couple decided that they would only do “meaningful” gifts so this was her gift to him. Most of the pictures are are from his favorite US city (San Fransisco), making it a great gift for him since he was headed back to Serbia.

The papers are mostly “Max and Whispers” by Basic Grey.

The book is filled with hidden journaling, fold-outs, flip up and  envelope pages. It makes for a very interactive scrapbook. I thought it was nice that they could share the photos and albums with others but her notes to him would remain personal.

Here are some of the pages…

I’m a sucker for both fonts and puns so these cards were so much fun to work on. While the current cards features red hearts (just in time for Valentine’s day) this cards can really be given any time. Since these notecards are blank inside. they can serve as “thinking of you”, “just because”, “hello”, “friendship” and so much more

My nephew happens to be a tad obsessed with dinosaurs. It’s like he can point one out from a mile away. So I decided to pick him up from pre-school early and take him to the Natural History Museum.  Granted my camera was on the wrong setting, but I still love this picture of him. To me, it captures the awe and amazement of when he walked in and yelled “IT’S DINO DAN. THIS IS SO COOL!!”.

I can’t wait to scrapbook these :-)

First visit to the Natural History Museum (Cleveland)

Despite the fact that I was swamped making items for the 5 craft shows I’d signed up for, I couldn’t help myself but to make something for my nephew’s Halloween party. I played around with a couple of ideas (witch, pumpkin, Frankenstein) and in the end I settled on bats, well because my new nephew tends to a little batty. I filled the basket with nut-free goodies and little toys.

The body of the bat is made from a single piece of 12×12 cardstock. The wings are also black card stock that I made using a couple quick snips with a circle punch.

I’m happy with the way they turned out and the kids (and the teachers) loved them!

Many thanks to LittleToad for adding the My Adventure Book to this treasury.  It’s so amazing!!!

The treasury is inspired by the movie UP. The funny thing is that I actually started making these books via an alchemy request before I saw the movie. A friend of mine had taken his daughter to see the movie and told me that I just had to see it.  Sure enough, it was a great movie.

Check out the treasury and the many talented etsy sellers who contributed to it.
